North Brothers Ford in Westland, MI is celebrating 75 years of service to the area this year! May 19th marks the official milestone for our Ford dealership in southeast Michigan. With a rich history and strong family ties still present today, we can only hope for another 75 years just as wonderful as the past. The original North brothers, Raymond and Ernest first started the legacy with the opening of a Mobil service station in Lincoln Park, Michigan in 1928. In 1936, they began selling new cars and trucks. Because of their success, Ford Motor Company offered them a new car franchise in 1941 where they would sell Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. In 1945 North Brothers became a Ford exclusive dealer. Fast forward to the final and current location of North Bros, our Ford Road Westland, Michigan dealership was built in 1968! Today, North Brothers Ford remains in the same Westland location with the same goal of providing excellent service and quality products to all of our guests! Ford Motor Company Celebrating 65 Years of the F-Series Truck

65 years ago, on January 16th, 1948, Ford Motor Company introduced the first F-Series truck to the public, the first post war product from the company. The original Ford F-Series truck was special for its design that offered more space and better ventilation--"living room comfort". Built with one of three engines (95hp 6-cylinder, 100hp V8, or 145hp V8), the first F-Series lineup from 1948 included standard pickups with two wheelbase lengths, regular and heavy-duty models, commercial delivery trucks, and 42- to 48-passenger school-bus trucks.

2,350 Ford Jobs Coming to Southeast Michigan

As part of an agreement with the United Auto Workers union, Ford Motor Company has committed to invest $6.2 billion in United States plants by 2015 and Michigan will benefit from that agreement very soon! This means that 2,350 Ford Jobs are Coming to Southeast Michigan as a result! Not to mention, the investment will retain 3,240 jobs as well. And these jobs are just a portion of the 12,000 jobs that Ford has agreed to add/retain in the United States by 2015.
