Ford Provides Aid to Victims of Hurricane Harvey

WESTLAND, Mich.,–– In wake of Hurricane Harvey's damage to Houston and the surrounding areas, Ford and its dealers have all made a commitment to assist the victims of this disaster. By donating over $3.5 million in hurricane relief and contributing to the "Texas is Family" initiative, Ford provides aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey. A portion of the money raised between Ford and its dealers will be donated to the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Team Rubicon, Toolbank, and Catholic Charities, and will provide four Chariot Transit Vans that will support future efforts in the area.

In the Texas area, Ford dealers have donated over $200,000 to the Cowboys-Texans telethon and have made a commitment to donating over $1 million to help dealership families and local charities. Nationally, Ford has promised to match this donation total by contributing up to $1.5 million to community relief foundations. Ford's dealers, both in Texas and throughout the United States, have dedicated their efforts towards raising additional funds to help reach their donation goal of $1 million.

“Our hearts go out to all of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Texas is like family for Ford,” said Jim Hackett, Ford president and CEO. “Our teams are working day and night to help our customers, dealers and communities get back on their feet.”

The "Texas is Family" initiative is a customer assistance bundle Ford will be providing to victims of Hurricane Harvey. People affected by the hurricane receive a no-haggle, below-invoice price typically given to employees and families of Ford, a low credit APR or lease rate, and won't have to make any payments until next year. The Texas is Family program also allows existing customers to defer their payments for up to two months, and first responders in the area are eligible to receive a special $1,000 discount in addition to any available incentives.

Currently, 101 of Ford's 114 dealerships in the Houston region are open. 13 of them have been closed and 10 (some open and some closed) have sustained severe damage. Families and businesses all across Michigan and the United States have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist victims of this disaster, and you can help too! Ford Sells 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Prototype for $200K

WESTLAND, Mich. - Over a month ago, Ford announced plans to auction a prototype version of the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Having gone to auction this week, Ford has officially sold the 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet prototype for $200K!

This one-of-a-kind Mustang Cobra Jet was donated by Ford to aid the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an organization that works to create a world free of MS. They are working towards this goal by promoting research that helps prevent, treat and cure multiple sclerosis; working to motivate politicians who have the ability to fight for the people's needs; and by reaching out to families and individuals that live with the disease.

The prototype was auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas, Nevada where the winning bidder won the amazing Mustang for $200,000! The winner has chosen to remain anonymous, but in addition to the car has won the opportunity of becoming an honorary member of Team Mustang. This comes with various perks such as being allowed backstage access to the Ford Product Development Center, Ford Design Studios and Ford Racing Department. The bidder is also receiving driver training at Roy Hill's Drag Racing School in Sophia, NC.

As for the specifications of this vehicle, it is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine and a T4 racing transmission. It also comes with a 8.50 ET certified chrome-moly safety cage, Cobra Jet-branded Weld wheels, three-link rear suspension, lightweight racing brakes, 9-inch rear axle, and custom Cobra-branded Recaro seats - wow! Not to mention something that is completely unique to this vehicle: its #2014 BJMS CJXX1 serial number.

Ford to Auction off Mustang Cobra Jet Prototype

WESTLAND, Mich. - When a prototype is released from an automobile company's grips, it's sure to cause a stir in the media - something that is currently happening with Ford's decision to auction off a Mustang Cobra Jet prototype. This Mustang Cobra Jet is a one-of-a-kind factory prototype that will be auctioned off to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

This 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet prototype comes with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, T4 competition gearbox, a wheelie bar, chromoly roll cage, weld wheels, racing brakes and so much more. It's serial number is 2014 BJMS CJXX1 and the vehicle is ready for NHRA competition.  In fact, the winning bidder of the prototype will receive tutelage at Roy Hill's Drag Racing School, as well as tours of the Ford Product Development Center, Ford Racing headquarters and Ford Design Studios.

As for the charity that the auction will benefit, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a charity that works to create a world free of multiple sclerosis. They do this by promoting research that helps to prevent, treat and cure the MS; reaching out to families and individuals that live with multiple sclerosis; and working to motivate politicians to fight for the needs of people with MS "through activism, advocacy and influence."

North Brothers Annual Clothing Drive

WESTLAND, Mich.- We're excited to announce that North Brothers Annual Clothing Drive has officially begun! This year's clothing drive at North Brothers Ford will benefit the Wayne Family Center which offers transitional shelter for homeless families. The Wayne Family Center accepts two-parent families, single mothers or fathers, and pregnant women. This year our clothing drive will run through March 31st, so there is plenty of time to arrange your donation. Donations of worn but well cared for clothing as well as cash donations are greatly appreciated. In addition, as with any North Brothers Ford Charity Event, we will match any donation made! We encourage you to join us in helping those in need in our community by contributing to North Brothers Annual Clothing Drive.
