Ford to Showcase the 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition

WESTLAND, Mich.- Ford Motor Company plans to reveal images of the exterior design of the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition on April 9^th at in at the Motor Press Guild luncheon. There are very limited details about how much information Ford is willing to reveal to the general public but Doug Scott, the Ford Truck Group Marketing manager, will be briefing the press on the Raptor Special Edition and also discussing the entire Ford Truck lineup. The event is going to be held at the Ford Showroom in Irvine, California

The stock Ford F-150 SVT Raptor touts a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that puts out 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque; however, it is still a mystery about what kind of gear Ford is planning to outfit the 2014 Special Edition with—some truck-lovers are speculating that we might even see an EcoBoost engine under the hood. Additionally, there are some rumblings about a large reduction in the overall weight of the vehicle, related to fuel-efficiency and increasing government regulation.

The event will also include a display of several Ford vehicles including the Raptor and the F-150 EcoBoost truck. The presentation will be based around trucks, vans, and the how fuel-efficiency is changing this important segment of the market. The Motor Press Guild is an information and education exchange for people involved with the automotive industry.

Ford EcoBoost Reduces Emissions and Saves at the Pump
