The Explorer Is The Car For Millennials

The Explorer Is The Car For Millennials
WESTLAND, Mich. – Ford Motor Company’s Explorer model has been quietly surging in popularity this past year. Bluntly, Ford Motor Company has been doing a lot of things right lately, and that includes the 2016 Explorer. Last year, Ford was the most-searched auto brand on Google, and also had the greatest percentage of owners returning to the brand to purchase or lease another Ford vehicle, according to HIS Automotive.

The Ford Explorer’s sales are up more then 30% this year, compared to the January-February numbers of last year. The Explorer is the car for millennials, and crossover vehicles have been the popular trend lately, and that is ESPECIALLY true with younger drivers. The 2016 Explorer targets this target market very successfully! What this does in turn for Ford is create the “customer for life”. By attracting drivers early to the brand, Ford is creating this customer loyalty that is very important in regards to millennial and teen drivers. The auto company hopes that once these drivers get their hands on their 1st Ford model, they will have a loyalty to the company.

Erich Merkle, a U.S sales analyst for Ford states; “Explorer contributes more to Ford’s millennial sales and share growth than any other passenger car or utility vehicle in the lineup”. The Explorer is the car for millennials, and has been America’s best-selling SUV over the last quarter century. The new updates and trims have made it a magnet for young buyers and families, and Ford believes that the Explorer will create a long lasting, customer loyalty with the brand.

Ford's New Police Interceptor to Debut at Chicago Auto Show

Ford's New Police Interceptor to Debut at Chicago Auto Show

WESTLAND, Mich. – With any auto show comes the anticipation of new vehicle debuts. While we all may be a bit biased towards the Detroit Auto Show since it takes place right here at home, we must not forget that automakers use various other auto shows as the stage for new model debuts as well. And that's what Ford Motor Company is doing! According to a teaser tweet the automaker sent out, Ford's New Police Interceptor will debut at the Chicago Auto Show next weekend!

Ford is being quite reserved with this one, giving us only the slightest bit of information to peak our interest. The tweet, sent out via Ford Motor Company's Twitter account is pretty much the only insight we have into the new Police Interceptor's debut set for February 12th. But from the looks of it, one might guess that the new utility vehicle is based off the civilian 2016 Ford Explorer that was revealed at the LA Auto Show. Since the current utility Police Interceptor is based off of the Explorer, it's not unrealistic to think the new Ford Police Interceptor debuting at the Chicago Auto Show will be too!
