North Brothers Ford Sponsors Drive 4UR Community

WESTLAND, Mich.– Here at North Brothers Ford, we love getting our hands dirty and doing things for our community. That’s why North Brothers Ford sponsors Drive 4UR Community, a Ford Motor Company fundraising event intended to raise money for the Garden City Rotary Club.

To raise funds, North Brothers Ford is giving members of the local community the chance to test-drive all-new Ford vehicles! For each person who test-drives a vehicle at the event, Ford Motor Company and North Brothers Ford will make a $25 donation to the Garden City Rotary Club, with a limit of one donation per household and a maximum donation of $6,000.

North Brothers Ford Sponsors Drive 4UR Community on Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Garden City Lucky Squirrel Festival located in the Kroger parking lot at Ford and Middlebelt roads in Garden City, Mich. National Lee Denim Day at North Brothers Ford

WESTLAND, Mich. - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and North Brothers Ford is proud to show our support this Friday, October 4th as we participate in National Lee Denim Day at North Brothers Ford!

For National Lee Denim Day, our North Brothers Ford employees will be donating $20 to the American Cancer Society to be able to wear jeans to work! However, we feel that this isn't enough. That's why we've decided that North Brothers Ford will match EVERY dollar that is donated by customers and employees! All you have to do is stop by our dealership on October 4th with your donation and we'll match whatever you give.

National Lee Denim Day is one of the largest single-day fundraisers in the country, having raised more than $89 million for breast cancer programs so far. If you'd like to show your support and help us celebrate 18 years of fighting breast cancer, make sure to join us for National Lee Denim at North Brothers Ford this Friday anytime between the hours of 9AM - 5PM!

Ford Motor Company Sponsors University of Michigan 2013 Solar Car

WESTLAND, Mich. -  The University of Michigan Solar Car Team has unveiled their 2013 Solar Car called "Generation", in Detroit this week. Sponsored in part by Ford Motor Company, The University of Michigan 2013 Solar Car will soon be on its way to Australia for the 2013 World Solar Challenge. The challenge will be 4-5 days long and will take place over 3,000 kilometers of Australian soil.

With the message "Go fast. Go smooth. Go blue.", the 2013 University of Michigan solar car sponsored by Ford is one that many have been eagerly awaiting. After developing the solar car over the course of a year, the Solar Car Team is proud of what they have accomplished and remain optimistic about the challenge. Having won third place for the last five Australian challenges (which occur every other year), Big Blue is hoping to step up their game this time around. The U of M Solar Car Team has also won first place at the American Solar Challenge seven times; something to be proud of.

The vehicle, paid for primarily from various sponsors such as Ford Motor Company, cost about $1 million to create. Around 100 students helped design the solar car, and only 20 will take it to the competition in Australia.
