Criminals will often target officers when they are in their vehicles, believing them to be the most vulnerable - especially if they can sneak up from behind. This new surveillance system, the first of its kind, will provide police officers with the security that they won't be ambushed from behind while sitting in their vehicles.

This Ford Motor Co. surveillance system sounds a chime, locks the doors and puts up the windows if it detects someone approaching the car from behind. Officers are often the most vulnerable at night, especially when they are in an area that is not packed with a lot of pedestrians. This system would ensure that they wouldn't be taken by surprise.

The safety feature is officially called "Surveillance Mode", and can be turned on or off. This is especially useful for when an officer is in a high traffic area, since the system is not as necessary when there are a lot of people around. Surveillance Mode sells for $248.44 as a stand-alone option, but can go for $75 when it's packaged with other options. If this system proves to be effective, it will most likely be made available to consumers in the near future.

WESTLAND, Mich. - Ford Motor Company has been receiving achievement after achievement this year, as the Ford Fiesta was named the Supreme Winner of the Women's Word Car of the Year contest; the Ford F-150 was named the best light-duty pickup truck and the Most American vehicle. Now, Ford is the top brand in America according to marketing research conducted by YouGov! Their research showed that Ford is now the best-perceived brand in the U.S. - not just among automakers, but amongst all companies.

YouGov asked around 5,000 Americans their opinion on 1,100 of the country's biggest brands. The participants were asked if they had heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, and if what they heard was positive or negative. They were asked to rank what they heard about each brand on a scale ranging from -100 (extremely negative) to +100 (extremely positive). A score of zero is neutral. Ford's average score among YouGov survey respondents was 31.

Ford Motor Company is the top brand in America and is the only automaker to break the top ten. This is not only because Ford makes quality vehicles, but also because cars like the Ford Fusion, Ford Focus, and Ford Fiesta have become a favorite of consumers. According to YouGov, the fact that Ford refused a government bailout during the Great Recession also made it a favorite among consumers.
