Ford Announces Alan Mulally Leadership in Engineering Scholarship Program
WESTLAND, Mich - In honor of their former CEO, Ford Announced the Alan Mulally Leadership in Engineering Scholarship Program.  Alan Mulally has an engineering background and a data-driven decision making process, which helped to pave the way of phenomenal leadership at Ford Motor Company. Now, this $1 million program will honor his legacy and help to provide financial assistance to exceptional students who are pursuing a degree in the automotive engineering field. 

With Alan Mulally Leadership in Engineering program, Ford will provide scholarships the students who not only show strong engineering abilities inside of the classroom, but also demonstrate how they will guide the next generation of leaders within the auto industry. The program will award 10 one-time $10,000 scholarships each year to sophomore or junior engineering students at premier partner universities around the globe. Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Company Fund will each subsidize $500,000 for the program, which is set to run for the next 10 years beginning in the spring of 2015.

The program will be apart of Ford Fund's "Ford Blue Oval Scholars" initiative. All of the chosen recipients will be connected with the company's corporate science, technology, engineering and math strategic initiative. With these scholarships, Ford education is making a huge effort towards building a new generation of leaders within these key fields.
