Ford to Increase F-150 SVT Raptor Production to Meet Demand

Ford to Increase F-150 SVT Raptor Production to Meet Demand
WESTLAND, Mich. - Ford has revealed plans to increase F-150 SVT Raptor production to meet demand. The off-road truck is currently being manufactured at the Dearborn Truck plant, where production will be increased to keep up with the constant demand for the four-year old truck.

At the Dearborn Truck plant, the Ford Raptor was being produced at a rate of three trucks an hour for years. Now production will increase to about five an hour within the next couple of weeks, resulting in a huge increase of product. However, this extra product is not expected to sit around on dealer's lots for long, as the vehicle currently only stays for an average of 15 days.

The 2014 Raptor will start at $44,000 and will come with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 411 hp and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. It also comes with four-wheel drive and a special suspension - all of which make this vehicle desirable to drivers who are looking for a durable, functional and luxurious ride.
