WESTLAND, Mich.–– For the past 18 years, North Brothers Ford has hosted the 5K Fun Run, and this year we're at it again. This year's run will benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute and take place at the Westland Famer's Market building, May 13th. We'd be honored if you'd join us in supporting this amazing, local cancer institute and everything that they do by attending our North Brothers Ford 19th Annual 5K Fun Run!
The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is "dedicated to the prevention, early detection, treatment and eventual eradication of cancer". They're a southeast Michigan based institute located in midtown Detroit dedicated exclusively to fighting cancer. Whether you're a cancer survivor, or want to honor someone you love with cancer, this run is a great activity to get involved and give back to your community.
If you can't attend the run but still want to be involved, there's also the opportunity to donate. We encourage you to reach out to your friends and family for donations as well, because every dollar counts towards what the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute does for others! You can pre-register on our website for a discounted price! Adults can register for $17 now until May 9th, and students 18 and under can register for $13. Your registration fee will also include a cotton event t-shirt, but you can upgrade to a performance running shirt for an additional price.
