Nutritious Ideas for Summer Snacking

Cucumber Hummus Cups: This is a no cook snack with two simple ingredients – cucumbers and hummus. Just cut a cucumber into 1/4 inch slices, scoop out the seeds if you prefer (but be sure to leave a thin layer so that the hummus won't go through the bottom), and then top with your favorite hummus!

"Healthy" Ice Cream Bars: These guilt-free "ice cream" bars are actually made with two frozen bananas! Blend the bananas until they are soft and creamy, spoon the mixture onto 2 graham crackers, and place in the freezer for 20-30 minutes. To keep them fun for summer, feel free to dip the sides in sprinkles or chocolate chips before freezing!

Cherry Lime Slurpee: This all-natural slurpee is a great compliment to a hot summer day. Blend up 1 pound of frozen cherries, 4 cups of ice, 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice, and 3 tablespoons of honey. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Banana Pops: Get as creative as you would like with these banana pops dipped in greek yogurt, peanut butter, and dark chocolate! Some of our personal favorite toppings are granola, chocolate chips, crushed nuts, and shredded coconut!
