Ford Works with Habitat for Humanity to Help Revitalize Detroit Neighborhood
WESTLAND, Mich. - Ford is once again working to benefit the community, as it is currently working with Habitat for Humanity to help revitalize a Detroit Neighborhood. Ford has lent a fleet of 2013 Ford F-150 trucks, along with members of Ford Volunteer Corps, to the Detroit Habitat for Humanity's housing project to help build their milestone 100th home.

This isn't the first time that Ford has worked with Habitat for Humanity to help revitalize a Detroit neighborhood. Ford is known for doing such volunteer work, as over 25,000 Ford employees each year volunteer across the globe to build houses, provide food, and help those in need. Since 1990, Ford Motor Company has given over $3.5 million in grants to Habitat for Humanity, with nearly half of that going to the Detroit location.

The Habitat for Humanity Detroit is a nonprofit organization that works to eliminate homelessness from the world. They encourage locals to come together and build houses for families in need; all supplies are donated from  local businesses and all labor is volunteer. If you'd like to volunteer, we recommend heading over to their website www.habitatdetroit.org.
