2019 Ford Transit Connect: Ideal Small Business Vehicle

WESTLAND, Mich.,––Ford has just introduced the brand new Transit Connect. Not sure what this model Ford vehicle is? The Transit Connect is a cargo van or wagon. It doesn't quite look like a minivan, but like a smaller  business van you might see out making deliveries or service calls. The 2019 Ford Transit Connect is an ideal small business vehicle, not just because of its versatility and affordability for entrepreneurs and small business owners, but because of its new added safety features, engine options, and advanced in-vehicle technology. Let's take a look!

2019 Ford Transit Connect: Ideal Small Business Vehicle

The 2019 Transit Connect van's most impressive new features are based in safety. No matter the delivery or service call, the Transit will keep everything and everyone within safe with standard Auto Emergency Braking and Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection. Available features include Adaptive Cruise Control, which makes highway driving a breeze by automatically speeding up, slowing down, or braking dependent on the traffic around the Transit, Blind Spot Information System, Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping System.

Other new features in the 2019 Ford Transit include SYNC3 infotainment technology with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and coming soon, Waze. The infotainment can be accessed through the 6.5" display screen and is user friendly, even for Baby Boomers who may not be familiar. The Transit Connect offers wireless smartphone charging, wi-fi for up to 10 connected devices, and Ford+Alexa personal assistant technology making it even easier to run a business or stay entertained and connected on the go.

The Transit Connect will now come available in two 8-speed automatic engine options, a 2.0L gasoline engine OR a 1.5L EcoBlue diesel engine that's estimate to get up to 30 mpg on the highway! The diesel engine is a class exclusive feature. As a bonus, the 2019 Transit Connect wagon can tow up to 2,000 lbs with the available trailer tow package!

Ford has made a great point about the new 2019 Transit Connect in their announcement that the it would serve well as a consumer vehicle for Baby Boomers, the current biggest consumer market, because of its ability to go from work to play quickly. This market would be able to run their small business during the day and tote their grandkids around for a fun weekend without hesitation. The Transit Connect seats up to seven passengers and has roof rails for all kinds of equipment like bikes, kayaks, etc.

“Baby Boomers have always embraced life’s adventures and to them age is just another experience to master,” said Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. “From being easy to get in and out of, plus flexible seating and cargo space, Transit Connect Wagon makes it convenient for Boomers to keep enjoying family time or explore new hobbies and careers.”
